Railway

In the railway sector, artificial vision intervenes in processes as necessary as the supervision of activity, strategic planning, state control of trains and their components or safety in infrastructures.

Wiring inspection and control

Solution for cable inspection and control. By means of artificial vision, the control of cables running through a production station at a constant speed is carried out. This inspection checks for any faults in the wiring.

Solution for cable inspection and control. By means of artificial vision, the control of cables running through a production station at a constant speed is carried out. With this inspection the different defects that can present the wiring are controlled.

These defects are generally classified according to whether they are superficial, which can be caused by material shortages or excess material, or defects relating to sizing.

Defects in cables:

Surface defects affect the image of the product, causing an abrupt decrease in its quality, but they also leave the cables exposed to a malfunction.

Surface defects:

On the other hand, although dimensional defects do not present very visible irregularities, they respond to an error caused by the possibility of cables with different references and diameters mixing, and this has repercussions on the functionality of the product.

Diameter comparison:

This solution uses a 3D acquisition system capable of detecting surface defects and also allows the acquired image to be processed to obtain the diameter of the cables.

Diamond calculation:

The system, upon detecting the error, alerts the user and, in extreme cases, stops the process until the error is solved.
